Among the most interesting places of naturalistic interest, there is the Sentina Natural Reserve, the smallest reserve in the Marche but with a big environmental value. Its landscape made of water and sand develop for about 180 hectares and is made of different habitats, able to host a typical flora that is almost all disappeared in the whole Adriatic coast.

Furthermore, the stretch of coast in front of our hotel is one of the most safe in the Marche, thanks to the quality of its water and to the low bottoms, that are suitable also for children and for who cannot swim.

The Hotel La Pace is on the Riviera delle Palme, a stretch of the marchigiana coast that goes from the Tronto river to Cupra Marittima, so called thanks to the thousands of palms that here are: Phoenix Canariensis, Washingtonia and P. Sylvestris. Our hotel on the beach in San Benedetto del Tronto is in a favorable position to reach some of the most interesting cities in the Piceno area. We are talking, above all, about Ascoli Piceno, few minutes far from the coast and considered one of the most beautiful cities in the Center of Italy, thanks to its typical architecture, almost all in travertine.

The city center is overlooked by hundreds of towers that surround Piazza del Popolo, where there are some of the most important buildings in the city: Palazzo dei Capitani, the historical Caffè Meletti and the Church of San Francesco.

The whole city is a reference point for art, thanks to the Civic Gallery, hosted into the Arringo Palace, and to the "O. Licini" Contemporary Art Gallery, hosted into the ex monastery of Sant'Agostino, or the Museum of the Pottery.

Ascoli Piceno, that can be easily reached by our hotel on the Riviera delle Palme, is one of the most active city centers in the Marche and all year long are held a lot of events. The most important one is the Quintana, a knightly tournament that is held in summer and is a historical reenactment.

Ascoli Piceno is also appreciated for its cooking tradition and its typical products and excellences, such as the famous "oliva all'ascolana" (olive filled with meat and fried), that is yearly celebrated during the festival "Fritto Misto all'Italiana" and that is traditionally made by the ascolane women on Sunday and on very important occasions.
